    An Overview Of Consumer Perceptions And Acceptance As Well As Barriers And Potential Of Electronic Personal Health Records

    Healthcare industry leaders, government agencies and the general public are beginning to see the value that Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems bring through increased quality, reduced medical error rates, and improved care coordination. One subset of the EHR, known as the electronic personal health record (PHR), is gaining in popularity. Before PHRs will be widely adopted, many barriers to their use must be overcome. These include the costs to the developer, host, and patient. Patient access to electronic resources is a concern. Interoperability is another problem. It is not practical for physicians to convert different data formats so that different PHRs may be adopted. Finally, privacy and security concerns also impact EHR adoption. Patients want assurance that their data is secure and not used for marketing purposes. Despite these barriers, there is high consumer interest in PHR products. In future, it is expected that PHR programs will be certified, security and privacy will be enforced by legislation, and standards for interoperability will be developed. PHR will also incorporate additional decision support aids and may become part of a social network that promotes peer support for positive behavior change. This paper will provide an overview of all these issues pertaining to PHR

    Structural Changes and Ferroelectric Properties of BiFeO<sub>3</sub>-PbTiO<sub>3</sub> Thin Films Grown via a Chemical Multilayer Deposition Method

    Thin films of (1-x)BiFeO3-xPbTiO3 (BF-xPT) with x ~ 0.60 were fabricated on Pt/Si substrates by chemical solution deposition of precursor BF and PT layers alternately in three different multilayer configurations. These multilayer deposited precursor films upon annealing at 700{\deg}C in nitrogen show pure perovskite phase formation. In contrast to the equilibrium tetragonal structure for the overall molar composition of BF:PT::40:60, we find monoclinic structured BF-xPT phase of MA type. Piezo-force microscopy confirmed ferroelectric switching in the films and revealed different normal and lateral domain distributions in the samples. Room temperature electrical measurements show good quality ferroelectric hysteresis loops with remanent polarization, Pr, of up to 18 {\mu}C/cm2 and leakage currents as low as 10-7 A/cm2.Comment: 14 Pages and 6 figure

    The comparative effects of Itopride and Levosulpiride orally used in patients suffering from Non-ulcer dyspepsia

    Background: Itopride and Levosulpiride both comes under the group of Prokinetic drugs. These drugs are used for the treatment of non-ulcer dyspepsia, heart burn, nausea and vomiting. Both drugs act on dopaminergic D2 receptor as antagonist and increases the concentration of acetylcholine so that gastric peristalsis will be increase and that time pressure at lower oesophageal sphincter will be increase thus gastric motility increases and there will be good gastro-duodenal co-ordination.Method: This study has to conduct on patients with complains of non-ulcer dyspepsia attended Medical outdoor and department of pharmacology of SKMCH Muzaffarpur, Bihar, India. The total 60 patients have to include in the study, which have to randomly divide in two groups. Group A (itopride) comprising of 30 patients and Group B (Levosulpiride) comprising of 30 patients. Patients have to randomly allocate to receive one tablet of itopride hydrochloride, 50 mg three times daily before meal and one tablet Levosulpiride of 75 mg three times daily before meal. Authors have to enroll the patients at the interval of two weeks and continue it upto 3 months.Results: Study did not found any remarkable change in biochemistry profile. Only QT prolongation changes were found in two patients, but no serious cardiac toxicity was observed with patient receiving Levosulpiride. Neither QT prolongation nor serious cardiac toxicity was observed with itopride hydrochloride therapy.Conclusions: In present study, efficacy of Itopride was comparable to Levosulpiride in relieving the symptoms of non-ulcer dyspepsia. Both the drugs were clinically and biochemically well tolerated. QT prolongation changes were found in two patients, but no serious cardiac toxicity was observed with patient receiving Levosulpiride. Itopride does not show cardiac toxicity and any changes in ECG

    Multi-processor Scheduling to Minimize Flow Time with epsilon Resource Augmentation

    We investigate the problem of online scheduling of jobs to minimize flow time and stretch on m identical machines. We consider the case where the algorithm is given either (1 + ε)m machines or m machines of speed (1 + ε), for arbitrarily small ε \u3e 0. We show that simple randomized and deterministic load balancing algorithms, coupled with simple single machine scheduling strategies such as SRPT (shortest remaining processing time) and SJF (shortest job first), are O(poly(1/ε))-competitive for both flow time and stretch. These are the first results which prove constant factor competitive ratios for flow time or stretch with arbitrarily small resource augmentation. Both the randomized and the deterministic load balancing algorithms are non- migratory and do immediate dispatch of jobs. The randomized algorithm just allocates each incoming job to a random machine. Hence this algorithm is non- clairvoyant, and coupled with SETF (shortest elapsed time first), yields the first non-clairvoyant algorithm which is con- stant competitive for minimizing flow time with arbitrarily small resource augmentation. The deterministic algorithm that we analyze is due to Avrahami and Azar. For this algorithm, we show O(1/ε)-competitiveness for total flow time and stretch, and also for their Lp norms, for any fixed p ≥ 1

    As we all know that Software testing is time –consuming and expensive process, especially in safety-secured applications. Testing Automation would allow us to reduce development cost and will help us in increasing the quality of Software. Automation Framework follows Data Driven Approach which passes data stored in Spreadsheet as input to the number of test scripts written for executing test cases. We have developed this Framework by using Selenium IDE and languages such as Java and HTML. Framework will automate the testing of software in different phases using a Driver Script and each phase will test the web application and generate the final reports as screenshots, logger report and HTML report. These reports are generated automatically with the help of the driver script and selenium webdriver and the complete final report is sent to the client as an electronic mail.
